My background is in book publishing. I worked for 15 years at a senior editorial level at Penguin Random House and HarperCollins before deciding to pursue life as an author and ghostwriter. That was in 2006. Since then I have worked with all the major UK publishers, many of the smaller independents and private clients as well – writing and ghosting over 25 books covering subjects from biography and memoir to food and drink, celebrity TV tie-ins, sport, travel, adventure, psychology, education and business.
My long experience at two of the UK’s biggest publishers and the number and range of books I’ve written, gives me an insight into how both good publishing and good writing work. I use this insight to make the most of every book I write.
I love what I do. To work with someone so closely over a period of weeks or months, developing a trusting and creative relationship and to see the product of your collaboration on the shelves of a bookshop is an immensely satisfying and rewarding occupation. And because I enjoy it so much, I hope to be able to bring a freshness and energy to any client’s project which will see it reach its full potential.
